The ELEY free-standing hose reel provides excellent no-tip stability with its square 16-inch X 16-inch footprint and its four slide-resistant rubber feet. However, if you're looking for some zero-tip anchoring options, the 1/4-inch hole through the center of each of the four riveted rubber feet provides an opportunity for all kinds of creative anchoring possibilities.
The holes in each of the four feet can accommodate a 1/4-inch diameter bolt, screw, spike, or stake. If you want to drill a hole through a paver stone for use with a long 1/4-inch bolt, a 5/16, 3/8, or 7/16-inch bit should do the job.
NOTE: The thickness from the top of the base plate above the rubber footpad down through the center of the rubber foot is 1-3/8 inches. Be sure to include this in your calculations on how long of a bolt or screw to purchase for anchoring.
You can anchor the reel to paver stones, landscape timbers, tables, terraces, or any other sold flat surface that can accommodate the 16-inch X 16-inch footprint of the reel. Another option is to install an eyebolt in each foot and anchor it with a cable attached to a buried dead weight.
